Looking into a mirror
He sees himself normal
But others see him through
Clouded glass and haze
Seeing a pawn or toy
High ambitions, he wants to
Fly and soar, but cannot catch up
With the rest of the world
Some of his kind, content with what they have
See things from the bottom, through the well’s round light
He tries and tries to make his dreams real
And sometimes, there is a real glimmer
Of hope
But from the start he is doomed to fail
And he is left behind by the world again
As the world gives pawns and toys no recognition
And when the world is out of goodwill
And they cannot bother with toys any longer
He truly is doomed, with his kind
They fall behind again
For in chess, the pawns die first
Read that guys, and tell me your interpretation. ^^

Hafta sleep soon, otherwise I can't wake up tomorrow! Tomorrow morning, I'll be behind a boat with water spraying all over my face. ^^
9:59 PM
Crap, I'm sick, and have dry training for wakeboard tomorrow. Not exactly a good combination! T__T
I've been playing Restaurant City! Its actually really boring, its just something to do in lectures and tutorials. Since I don't actually have to do much, just let it run, its quite simple!
On another note, Bernice made me think a little the other day. She asked me if I preferred change or consistency in my life. After mulling over it a little, I came to the conclusion that I preferred change in consistency.
Example being: would you like to move house? I wouldn't! But I don't mind having new furniture or whatever. I'd rather have change sometimes, but the main picture stays the same. ^^
Anyway, I'm going to get my guitar fixed up a little now, changing strings and some bits that are worn out.

Life for me.
Life for me is great right now.(Aside from the Media and Society homework I have to type out later)
I love my course, its everything that I could have wanted! Aside from an annoying lecturer, and a module I don't like too much, its everything I could hope for.
Random things going cool for me thus far:
I won over the girl I've been dating for the past 3 months.

I learnt how to play 7 new chords on acoustic guitar, and a new strumming pattern.

I realised I can easily finish my homework if I actually bother.

My class is great, and is sorta musical!

I've been formally released from FCBC's cell group, as Victor and I both felt I was more comfortable at Jurong Seventh Day Adventist Chuch, I am now a full-blown member!

And I'm attending church again! =)))
I learnt how to play as Slardar, the Slithereen Guard in Dota. (Albeit not too well)

I've grown to 180cm.

I joined wakeboarding as my CCA in Temasek Poly, I'll be up and riding in no time!

I've perfected my card-throwing action; I can now dice apples. (at a range of 1 meter, my aim still sucks to the core)

My laptop still runs awesomely well.

I mastered baking a really moist chocolate cake with a white chocolate coating.

and hundreds of other things that I don't have time for cos I have to finish my homework and I'm hungry.

Bacteria and our brains.
Bernice told me about a few strands of bacteria the other day, and their methods of survival and success.
One particular strand generally lives in cows. But eventually, they get passed out. They are so large in number, they look like little slimeballs amidst the mounds of manure. Anyway, sometimes, ants eat them. For some reason, they LIKE eating the slimeballs. What THEY don't know is that the bacteria then invades their system, and infects their little ant brains. So, throughout the day, they go about their little ant business, gathering food, following the chain, making nests, getting squashed etc. But at night, they take on a different series of actions altogether! The bacteria makes the ant think that they want to climb to the top of a blade of grass. So that's exactly what the ant does! It climbs to the very top and just stays there. Guess what happens. Eventually, its not limited to just the night, even in the day, they'll climb there and wait. The ant probably has no idea what's going on. But we know. Cows grazing come along and munch the bug up. The bacteria is then happy, its back in its home!!!
Similarly, there's another strand that lives in CATS. These guys get passed out as slimeballs too. And somehow, these are attractive to MICE. Poor mice eat these gross looking things and get infected. The bacteria lives in their brains. And weirdly enough, the next time they see a cat, they don't run away from it, they run AT it. Mice gets eaten. Ta da, bacteria back in home once again.
Kinda makes you think what would happen if these things got into our system. Would we climb to a top of a tree? And just speculation, and no offence meant, but maybe the guy who ran at the white tiger recently may have had a few little strands of bacteria lurking in his head. After all, the white tiger IS a cat. Just a larger one than its domestic counterparts.

Screwflies and howler monkeys.
I heard a whacked story the other day.
Originally, howler monkeys DID NOT howl. They bit, scratched, whichever other stupid monkey crossed its mean way. However, over time, they realised this was bad; screwflies laid eggs in the open wounds, because obviously none of these monkeys exactly had super healing abilities. These eggs hatched into wriggly screwworms, which would start eating everything around it, essentially giving the poor monkey a perpetual infection, eventually killing it. These monkeys adapted, deciding to howl and scream and yell at the others instead of physically bashing them. Bernice's take on the story, screwflies actually HELPED the world, they stepped in and stopped the violence. ^^
My take's a little different. It calls to mind what happens in daily life. Sometimes, life has a couple of downs, shit happens, we all know that. But it really is true that bad things aren't always altogether bad. You can always come out stronger in the end, whatever the disaster. I got outta a mini depression but in the end, I think I came out alright. People who know me know a bit more of the random nonsense that happened. But nowadays, I live my life on two main themes; say yes to opportunities (Yes Man logic), and when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
That's all folks. =P

Again at a loss for a title.
Today, my parents were out so I invited my girlfriend over. It was the afternoon, and things started to heat up. We were having sex, and I was about to finish. Then I looked through the window, to see a construction worker (who was fixing the house next to mine) giving me a thumbs up. He's her dad.
(From FMYlife.com)
Bernice introduced me to that website. I have a good laugh at other people's lives. =P Go on, readers, and check that website out. Its downright amusing. ^^
